AC Milan general manager Adriano Galliani has revealed that Kaka's move to Manchester City could well take place, but is insistent that no decision has been made on the future of the Brazilian playmaker.

Manchester City have reportedly made a bid of £107 million for the 26-year-old midfielder and the Milan club is considering the record breaking offer.

Galliani has also said that he feels the Milan fans are being very ungrateful as the side was near bankruptcy when Silvio Berlusconi took over in 1986, and now they are back on top of the world.

The Milan fans were protesting furiously over the proposed Kaka transfer during the game against Fiorentina yesterday and Galliani believes they should be grateful.

"This club and this administration deserves respect and love from the supporters," he told Radio Montecarlo this evening.

"I don't know what Kaka will do, but as for me, I slept very badly last night. I have the same feelings as the fans, but being the general manager of Milan, I have to rev up my reasoning too.

"We'll see what happens. I can confirm absolutely nothing has been signed, not by us and not by the player. He is still absolutely a Milan player.

"I am, however, unable to make predictions. Kaka has done a great deal in these years, he is a real champion who has won everything.

"I am struggling to understand the way the fans are protesting against an administration that has taken Milan from the edge of bankruptcy to the top of the world."

The AC general manager has also said that he feels Kaka should move to City in order to clear the Milan club of its debts.

The bit in bold is key for me.
The Milan fans are going to be fucking livid with that statement. Especially the demand for respect.
It's more the fact that he has worded it in the past tense....like it has already happened. That intrigues me the most. Unless it's a 'lost in translation' issue. Direct quotes shouldn't be though.

So i'll ask you again, considering they are on they edge of riot at AC, when is this "right time" for Kaka to announce he is staying?

My answer would be about 5 days ago

Exactly. Just seeing if our learned friend comes to the same conclusion. If he does, he will realise his original statement was garbage.

can anyone confirm that kaka,s dad was sat next to gary cook at yesterdays match?

I heard Chris Kamara say it was his dad on his show this morning.
I didnt know chris kamaras dad was a blue, fair play to him!

Yeah he always takes Chris as well when he's not working.

Couldn't get on b4 so looked at some other forums.

This is from a man utd supporter.

We all know Kaka's acquainted with Jesus, but I dont get this point here of projected him as an angel with both Berlusconi and Galliani as devils...they both are morons though.

For the start, this Kaka deal is the biggest and the most prestigious for Abu Dhabhi's business aspirations in football. Robinho being a benchwarmer at Real Madrid was neither a big fish nor worth the money that was paid for him and his transfer was nothing but similar to Real Madrid paying over odds to buy Henize with a hope of landing the big fish.

On the side note when Robinho was in Brazil prior to the Portugal friendly, he had already mentioned he's loving his life in Manchester and would like more Brazilians particularly Kaka and Fabiano to join him and it was apparent City had already got a confirmation from Kaka through Robinho or his agent before they tabled a bid. City wouldn't have stuck their necks for too far had they not made an offline agreement with him, with the entire media hogging these two teams, it would be only a matter of a week City would've ended up as pillocks..A businessman like Abu Dhabi is took clever to end up as a laughing stock.

Now they've thrown the meat, and Milan board are finding it hard to resist as their recent ventures in the transfer market are all laughable. They've thrown the towel by saying, Kaka can go if he wants whilst the player tearfully alleges, if Milan dosent want him he would move on. The agreement is done and dusted, now both parties are playing the blame game to share the percentage of the blame, not to risk the ire of the fans.

just though id post it.

this week after he has had a while to think about it

I understand what you are saying, however if he had made his mind up to stay he would have announced it already. Obviously it can all go tits up if for whatever reason there is an issue they can't agree upon. But I am sure that he has already spoken with his dad and is happy to listen to what we have to say. When he does I believe he will accept our offer.

There's no past tense there; it's present perfect. i.e. The club used to be under the threat of bankruptcy but went on to win the Champs League under the current administration and remain as one of the world's biggest clubs. I agree with him; they do deserve a bit of credit for that.
