Brazilian star Bernard has refused to comment on his future, and says he will not while he is at the World Cup finals.
Manchester City have been strongly linked with a bid for the diminutive Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder, who is valued at over £30million.
Bernard only joined the Ukrainian club last summer for £22million but, having impressed, he is now being linked with another big-money move.
But having linked up with Brazil's World Cup squad, the 21-year-old insists he is letting his representatives work on his future.
"I made it clear since I arrived [to join the national team] that I won't comment about the possibility of a transfer as I am focused on the World Cup," he told Superesportes.
"It's a unique moment in the career of a player, I want to mature and learn a lot here with my more experienced team-mates.
"I leave my off the field situation to be handled by those who have the right to do so without me.
"I don't know [what will happen] after the World Cup, I have people to handle the off the field things."
Reports in Brazil, claim that Bernard's agents are trying to cancel his contract with Shakhtar because of the political unrest in Ukraine.
