Where did this bizarre group-think sentiment that Nasri was brilliant (apart from his attitude) come from?
I've no real idea what Nasri's attitude is like, but I do know that he was never good enough for City for the reasons above: he slows play down. It was a problem under both Mancini and Pellegrini but would be much worse under Pep because we break like lightning when defensive teams have had an attack. That's my concern about Bernando. He has too many touches, he slows play down, he brings the ball round to his left foot all the time. By the time he's "set" the killer pass options have closed up.
As I said, It's early days and I can see he has something: he does run at people and take them out the game. But I'm not convinced he's the right player for us at this stage. He was touted as a Silva replacement but he doesn't look it at the moment.
