Ergh until you mentioned it I have never thought he was called Sweep for any other reason than his initials and I don't know any City fan who thought differently.

Not the brightest, is he? Politically incorrect humour between friends is just that, but if it's "between friends" then keep it that way. I'm sure Mendy finds it hilarious but if Bernardo wants to go public with a joke that compares a black person with a caricature (especially given the dodgy history of that association) then he shouldn't be surprised when he gets backlash for it.
