I understand Bernardo never warmed up to Manchester and he wants to stay close to his family but his insistence on Barcelona baffles me.
I just read that Athletic article about how they may threaten to sue De Jong because of the extension he signed with the previous president.
What a scum of a club and does Bernardo really does not like England this much to join that Clown of a club. Munich Madrid Milan heck Even PSG would make sense right now, but insistence on dedicated your prime into that shithole of a club right now is pretty weird.
Players dont see the world like fans do. Players are queueing up to sign for them for the lifestyle and playing for one of the most iconic, if not most iconic club, in the world.

From my understanding, his wages is what is used to register new signings (they have more than enough money to sign Bernardo as it is, but not to register even the players that they've already bought whilst staying under the salary cap).If they manage to sell de Jong that money is mostly used for registering their new signings.
