Bernardo Silva

I'm not sure it would be especially helpful to us for him to come out and say he wants to leave and he's waiting for Barcelona. I think that only strengthens Barcelona's position tbh. Seems to me is that his preference is to leave and have a stint playing in Barcelona at some point in his career (sooner rather than later) but he has no problem with City and will continue to give his all while he's here. He doesn't need to publicly agitate for a move as it isn't us holding things up.

If Barcelona would have had the money he would have gone already, again this is all rumours but my opinion based on just the rumours is that how can Bernie expect us to sell him to a club with no money to pay for him?

[citation needed]

I note the highlighting to the ‘he’s asked to leave’ so with due respect and for clarity; I didn’t say that he’d put in a formal transfer request, but we all know, from what Pep has said alone, that he’s wanted to move (he’s quite capable of making his feelings about a situation abundantly clear without putting it into writing - eg. him slurping on his lovely cup of coffee as a ‘fuck you’ salute to the dippers - another Bernardo Silva moment that I’ll always treasure as a memory).
IMO the fact that he’s not tried to strong arm the club by putting in a formal transfer request, even though he’s made his preferences clear and waited for 3 seasons now, is another example of his respect for the club and the fan base.
IMO he’s due our respect in return.

In an ideal world he stays for this season and can then go with our blessing and 40 to 50 million in the bank from that dreadful club in spain

Exactly, I don't think he does expect us to let ourselves get ripped off which is why he's just keeping his head down and getting on with the job. No point him coming out and stating a desire to leave when it's all in the hands of people behind the scenes. He knows he'll get his move eventually when his contract is up anyway. It sounds like City aren't trying to stand in his way by putting an unrealistic price tag on him like £150m or something but I'm sure he understands we can't sell him for peanuts either.

Like us going in for Cucurella?

We had the money for him though.
And maybe they have the money for Bernardo, they are no longer run by a clown, Lapota is a shrewd customer.

All the sob stories about been skint and not having a pot to piss in, yet they have just raised 100s of millions.

The only issue is registration with La Liga , that's holding up the registering of the new signings and would clearly effect the Bernardo one, but if they can clear that issue and I am sure they will , they have the dough for Bernardo in my opinion.

100% guaranteed that La Liga will allow them to register their new signings.

My point is that if they have the money they can have him, I don't believe they have the money they are struggling for money there are enough sources that state this and I have no reason to dispute those sources.

FFS they are not even paying the players the wages that are there now.
