Honestly, could anyone actually see City selling Bernardo for 45 mil to Barca when Cucurella is 63 mil, Fofana is 85 mil, Grealish and Nunez are 100 mil??

I guess logic prevailed with Bernie.. he didn't really want to join a club where he'd be forced to take a pay cut for the next transfer window or get booed vs cheered at the Etihad.

My mate lived in the same building, he insisted all along for the last two summers that Bernie wouldn’t leave, he just got freaked out and painfully homesick during lockdown - especially living in the city centre with no green space. Essentially a gilded cade in a strange land, unable to see family and friends. Totally understandable
