Would be genuinely shocked if he went to Saudi. Aside from Neves, it's mostly misfits on big money who are on the decline that are moving there. Would be a real shame and disappointing to see one of the best players in the world at his peak move to an exhibition league. Totally understand the appeal for him in moving to another European city in one of the top leagues where he can enjoy another culture and win more top prizes. As a cosmopolitan kind of guy someone who likes to mix it with locals i think it would be a weird move for him to Saudi given the restrictions that locals are expected to live under. And if it's purely about money, it's still weird given they'll still be there chucking massive wages around at players in the arse end of their careers in a couple of years time.

Neves aint all that, there's a reason he has been at Wolves for so long. If he didnt score a puskas award nomination every 12 months or so nobody would even mention him.

Saudi's will have there own talent coming through in spades sooner or later, they are football mad and have punched above their weight internationally for years.

For sure. I'm not saying Neves is top drawer but he's a slightly unusual case in that he's still only 26 and he's not a player on massive wages that hasn't worked out. He doesn't quite fit the profile of the other players who've moved there. I guess his move to Wolves raised a few eye brows in the first place as they were in the championship at the time. He has form for making moves like that if the money is right.

Not sure why nobody has brought it up with all the Saudi / PSG rumors, but bookmakers (Bet365) have Bernardo at ~90% likelihood of not being a City player come the start of the season.

52% likelihood of joining Saudi league and 30% likelihood of joining PSG, 10% chance of staying, & 7% to join Barca.

And only 10% chance of staying. Slightly worrying as they generally know more than the average bloke.

Never listen to bookmakers

Bookmakers don’t set odds based on knowledge, they set them based on market rates calculated from the money that’s already been laid down.

Some of that money may come from people with knowledge but the vast majority of it is people guessing.

And if someone decides to lump £5,000 on him joining Stockport County then they'll be included in the mix as well. Bookmakers have no more "in" on football transfers than my dog does.

Can be easy to overlook bookmakers sure, but they have been quite accurate for almost every signing made so far this window, including Gundogan to Barca. And to offer 7x your money on a player staying at the club where he's currently under contract with no bids placed is absurd.

To think they have as much info as us (you or your mums dog) is silly. These are mega corporations that no doubt have some intel when it comes to this stuff. Whether that's receiving massive bets from a notoriously in the know account, having moles within clubs , or whatever corrupt bullocks they do.

If you all think it's a load of crap then surely you should be throwing some cash on it. Hard not to with that line. Hope it's not true but its certainly a real worry.

On the brighter side of the books, we are 80% likely to sign Gvardiol and slightly favored to sign Rice over Arsenal now but it's close to a toss up.

Find it strange with all the talk of Bernardo nearly a done deal to saudi how we havnt seen any rumour of a few being mentioned?

There isn't any evidence of Bernardo going to Saudi...largely just internet speculation. If he stays or goes is up in the air
