Barcelona can't afford to sign both Lewandowski and Silva in one transfer window.Pep is trying to be positive, but I'm not convinced.
Probably what happened with Arthur & Pjanic deals - pretend both De Jong & Bernardo went for 80mil. They’d have 80mil in on their books, but 16mil cost (80/5) for Bernardo, so it’d be net 64m for the season.Maybe i'm a little thick but I don't understand how Barca are desperate to offload DeJong as they need to cut the wage bill but then plan on replacing him with Bernardo. If it was a case of offloading DeJong and bringing through an academy player and getting a transfer fee as well as greatly reduced wages then fair enough but i don't see how this deal benefits Barca to the level they need it to.
Also would we really sell a player to Barca for a huge fee given the financial mess they are in?
The contract with bumper salary is supposedly there should he want it.i think the reasons about Bernardos unhappiness aren`t the weather, the Iberian lifestyle or missing his family. I´m pretty sure he would decline a transfer to Benfica.
It`s about the wage (level of Sterling,Grealish or KDB) or he`s a fan of Barcelona.
Boosting the sale price of the apartment before selling:-)Just a quick snippet regarding Bernardo.
I've just picked my lad and his uncle (who has an apartment at the edge) up from the airport from a mad weekend in Amsterdam. One of the lads on the trip fits kitchens. This same lad is fitting a marble kitchen at Bernardo's new house next week.
Just passing it on...
Is that how amortisation works ? FDJ cost 65million. 5 year contract. There for 3.5 seasons. So surely 45.5 million already accounted for in the accounts. If sold for 80 million, the net profit would be 34.5 accounting wise. 16 million for Bernie, would leave an accounting profit of 18.5 million.Probably what happened with Arthur & Pjanic deals - pretend both De Jong & Bernardo went for 80mil. Also, they’ve sold their future broadcast rights so they’ve got more cash to deal with.
That being said, Silva’s worth twice what De Jong is in my eyes, and that’s without being biased.
I didn’t factor in FDJ‘s original fee, so you could well be right mate, I genuinely have no idea haha. Just know that selling a player and bringing one in is beneficial for amortisation, even if it doesn’t lead to a net profit. Is that how amortisation works ? FDJ cost 65million. 5 year contract. I really am not sure on this so please correct me if I am mistaken.
