@tolmie's hairdoo late it the day? Terrible management. He's worth more than 100 mill and our best player. Barca are also cunts. Sell him to psg for 150 if we must

How are we coveting our bases? That unproven paqueta guy? Ffs

Just had that feeling Bernardo is off, starting on bench and when he was giving his shirt away at end of the game. Yes he is near legend for us but Pep is getting even better as a manager/ coach I reckon so he will always put a team out we can be proud of. Watching right in front of me Kyle playing like a number 8 in the middle and Joa looking the same on the left like the brazil legend Learnardo was unreal - we aint got nowt to worry about!!

Lucas Paqueta would be a stellar signing. he is better than bernardo attacking wise and close to the work rate needed in a Pep team. so we will not miss bernardo if he goes

I wouldn’t say he’s our best player. But definitely top 5. The sad part is that we all know for a fact if we were the ones wanting to buy him from Barca, they would either say: Fuck off. Or 150-200 mill to start talks, then pull a Daniel Levy.

We could have 500 mill to spend, who are we buying to Instantly replace Bern? We can't even replace a stand in left back ffs
I fear he has one foot out of the door at this stage. Between Paris and Barca, he is expecting one of them to come up with the cash and he will take either move :(

Seems to be more a lifestyle decision than a footballing one.

Despite reports he is putting down roots in Manchester, people closer to him say it is nothing that binds him.

We could have some seriously big till before deadline day to spend.

They won't even pay their present players so Silva would be a fool to go there. Ask De Jong..Braithwaite....Depay etc etc

I'd obviously prefer he stays but it doesn't sound likely. Going to PSG would be a bit odd though?

Paqueta/Matheus Nunes would both be good shouts as replacements. Check out this run and pass from Nunes in yesterdays match. Quite impressive albeit a pretty different profile than Bernardo.

Paqueta seems the one from links. He's apparently a midfielder that gets you out of your seat with his close control and skill.

Barcelona supposedly willing to let Depay go for free if someone will take him, just to get his wages of the books, reportedly.

What’re his wages? Isn’t delay versatile enough that he can be used any position up front? He seems like a decent fit but haven’t watched a ton of him

That's way too low. The number is fine, but the currency is wrong.
Even £85m is still too low for a player of Bernardo's quality let alone €85m.

I think it's only fair that we use the £150m they paid for Coutinho as a barometer and seeing as though Bernardo is twice the player tell them it's £300m or do one :)

Sell Bernardo and don't buy a left back and we've royally fucked up what would have been a 10/10 window. I hope it doesn't go that way.
Yes, clearly. But we're still three weeks away from the window closing. As it stands, I'd say we're a regular left-back away from having the best squad we've ever had.

Bernardo is replaceable. His highs are stratospheric but he is often not performing at that level. I'd rather he stayed and certainly if he goes then not replacing him is an issue. But it doesn't sound yet like his departure is inevitable so I think we just need to see how things play out in the next few weeks.

I never thought I’d say this, as I love watching Silva, but I’ve had enough of begging him to stay at City. You come to Manchester City to win trophies in the best league in the World and then have the rest of your life to play on the sand. Sorry if that’s not good enough but it’s a job.

I hope City get a replacement in and then sell him (not the other way around) unless all the stories are made up in which case sorry Bernardo I’m glad you are staying!

Not a dig on you at all but it’s always a little funny to me when people are surprised that footballers are attracted to the idea of being young and rich in Paris.
Think it's just the standard of the league ppl get shocked about. It's not great, it's not interesting and not competitive. Plus I was in Paris not so long ago for work and it was like a war zone. But yeah, PSG are a big team and there are huge players there. Personally I'd prefer the close knit, modest squad city have to some of the prima Donna's there. If he goes good luck to him, never caused issues and gave us soo much. A great player and shouldn't leave for less than £100m.
