Bad news guys, the one we were planning on going to was closed so had to settle for fish and chipps form urban spice on hathersage road near the hospital........fucking awfull, i have had better out the freezer. like the look of west lake next door though.

Forgot that one! Top chippy. Used to be nip and tuck with the Battered Cod for the top prize, but my family who live down there say Michael the old Greek guy has passed it on to relatives in the last year or so, and it's no longer as good as it was — though the service is a bit quicker

Fantastic Stockport chippys - Davenport Chippy in Davenport & Ashtons in Great Moor

Tried the Davenport - nice!

But can anyone tell me why people in Stockport town centre are so ugly? The women are all mingers and the men all look like failed chavs or people on methadone. It's worse than Scunthorpe FFS.
