Come and See......(Belarus)
City of Life and Death.......(China)
Elite Squad.....(Brazil)
Evil.....(Norway)
Ran....(Japan)
Cinema Paradiso......(Italy)
Man Bites Dog.....(Belgium)
Bicycle Thieves......(Italy)
M........(Germany)
North Face....(Germany)
I love me foreign films and I can highly recommend all of these.

North Face??

It was ok... but so far from the truth i suppose why i didnt enjoy it.... The documentary on the north face by Joe Simpson ( touching the void ) The Beckoning Silence.. Is outstanding... Brings a tear to any mans eye when you hear about the story of that event on the eigur.

I beleive man bites dog is a cracker.. will look into it.

The Baader Meinhof Complex

not sure if that has been mentioned? I really enjoyed this movie and lead me in to some research...

What i found with the baader meinhof complex is the linking of european history that the older you get, the more intrest you have in such topics. i.e the munich olympics and then the influence of Cuba etc etc...

Does anyone know of a German comedy film? It had a ginger haired guy and a few other friends that were living in quite hard times.

Any more details of the action?

Yeah, North Face was watchable for the photography but maybe didn't follow the facts accurately. Still enjoyed it though. Another film that I can suggest is "I am Cuba" telling the story of Cuba and it's people from before the revolution, during and after it. It's a bit hard to watch for the first 20 mins but from then on it's amazing, the camera work and photography was groundbreaking for it's time and it's David Bailey's favourite film.

I'm struggling to be honest. It was a few men who were mates and a couple had girlfriends. I think one of the girls got pregnant and maybe some lost jobs or something. In a word I haven't a fucking clue. Just remember the ginger guy and it being funny.
