Best Foreign Films?

I have got hold of it... but its dubbed with Italian and then there is some English subs..

I take it by "foreign films" you mean films in a foreign language and therefore not Hollywood? If so then you should really look no further than Japanese and Korean Cinema. Some of the greatest movies ever made come from that part of the world.

I recomend looking for Ichi the Killer, Brother, Oldboy, Zatoichi, and if your stomach can stand the most depraved fucked up movie i have ever seen (and i've seen some nasty ones) seek ot "Visitor Q"

The original Battle Royal is brilliant also, But surely everyone has seen that one?

just watched the Die Welle or The Wave....

i got hold of it.. German film, dubbed in Italian with English Subs... That was a first....

Very good film.. Like the post on this film someone said .. a little far fetched... But really good film..

makes you think.. you see ho young or students at uni can be manipulated with ideology..

Would have been netter if they would have dragged it over a term or a school year to make it more believable... but i would recommend it to anyone..

A little far fetched? The whole point of that film was to illustrate just how easy it is for people to blindly follow a 'leader figure' such as Hitler in such a short space of time. I get my GCSE classes to watch it to illustrate the magnetic pull a strong leader can have on people with little aspiration in life, regardless of that person's ideology. It's actually based on a true story. A teacher at a school in a South American country, I forget which, managed to manipulate his class into what was essentially a cult with himself at its head.
