Best "of the moment" chants

January 1987 (I think), Ferguson's first Mcr derby a few weeks after Atkinson has been sacked.

At half time the Greater Manchester Fire Brigade's tubby mascot, otherwise known as the Wellyphant, parades down the touchline to be greeted by a chorus of "Atkinson's back, Atkinson's back..." from the City fans.

V West Ham at Maine road years ago - can’t remember the defenders name but he got a game full of ‘there’s only one woopie Goldberg, one woopie Goldberg ..........

Best one I heard was when the Stephen Ireland story had broken about him lying about his grandmothers x2 funerals, to withdraw from the Ireland squad and the media had tracked them both down as alive and well.

A few weeks later to the tune of Molly Malone the City end pipes up "Alive alive oooo, alive alive oooo, Steven Irelands 2 grannies alive alive ooooo"

Two from 60s derbies.

Blues: Sha la la la Summerbee
Rag response: Who the fcukin ell is he?
Blues: The greatest centre forward in history.

Rags: We all live in a red submarine.
Blues (to same tune): We all piss in a red and white pot.

Away at Poznan. The home fans sang a really loud song that the whole stadium joined in.
When they finished we replied with an ironic “f@!k off back to England,f@!k off back to England, nah nah nah na”
