If i could do just one thing again in my life it would be stand on the Kippax the day the King made his comeback against Newcastle. Near 30 years on its still sends shivers down my spine.

Maine Road was magnificent and it was ours ad i loved it and felt at home there.


The only stadium i have been truly overwhelmed by though is Lords. Its the one place where all the greats of Cricket have played.

I also liked the way we employed loads of different architects over decades to design 4 different stands that were so mismatched you couldn't fail to love it. Plus the poor folk in that deathtrap looking, uncovered part between the north stand and the kippax. Style.

The crazy looking Olympic one in Beijing looked amazing

My mate has been to The Cowboys Stadium in Dallas
He said it was amazing. Has the world's largest hd tv hanging off the roof. He was sat on a huge leather seat and could order beer from it with a push of a button
He said it puts all uk stadiums to shame

There is some beautiful cricket grounds around the world especially the West Indies and in Adelaide you can lie on a grass banking, watch cricket and get pissed. The one in, I think south Africa, with the huge mountain at the side takes the biscuit.

Might as well watch that 10 seconds of action more than once while they spend 10 minutes getting ready for the next 10 seconds of actual play. Knowing the Americans though, they'll probably just use it to play more massive adverts.

MCG, is fucking awesome, up to 100,000 pissed up Aussie's make for a great day ;)
Same for Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day, only done it once, 20+ years ago, still recovering.
