Metal Gear Solid on the PS1, absolute king of all games. Nigh on perfect.
When i first played this, i was genuinely mesmerised. Dont think any MGS game has bettered it

Also no thread has ever made me want to buy a PS2 more. Still the greatest console of all time IMO.
gamecube mate gamecube
No chance! Had a few good games. But the library on the PS2 was unbelievable

Console war...

LA Noire was groundbreaking

Red dead redemption was incredible

Skyrim was something else so for recent times these all get a shout

Also:

Half life 2, again groundbreaking, way ahead of its time.

Goldeneye

The first Halo. Defined a generation of FPS games and the universe is incredible. I've played all the games and have started reading the books now. Unbeatable.

Just cos it's easy to pick up and play. Loved the N64 and Gamecube versions.

In no order, had a think about my personal favourites:

-MGS 1 and 2
-Any GTA title from GTA 3 upwards, though I believe the early ones are fun too.
Final Fantasy 7 and 9
-Shaolin, PS1. I'd play it now if I could, proof that gameplay means more than looks.

Sega - Quackshot, Sonic 1 and 2, Kid Chameleon, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage. Could name many more for this but don't want to make too lengthy a post.

PS2 - almost everything

Only got the PS3 7 months ago,but love Skyrim and Hitman. Playing GTA 4 for the first time too, in preparation for GTA 5.

Anyone else played Suikoden?

Really cracking game that, very rare though

I played all 5 parts, trying to recruit 100 characters was so much fun.

a very unique rpg game it was. Might play it again on the pc.

I never got them all!!

And on PC via a emulator? I may have to get a ps2 emulator just to play Suikoden again....
