So how much is that per trophy? , the Rags have payed a billion per trophy , the Dippers £60m per trophy and we have spent under £50m per trophy , and our current playing squad has to be worth at least double anything Klopp and Tag have in their playing roster.

You could put that table in front of any Pl team or Tebas and they would still cry about cooked books and brown envelopes. Most fans actually know this to be true but always resort to FFP or 115 because they hate to admit that we’re run superbly run.

One of them has lost the plot. Apparently the sales of academy players doesn’t count, silly clowns are in complete denial.On there now.

One of the things I noticed over the (many) years on the Caf, was that they continually said their academy was the best, pointing out the legions that had been through their system and were still playing up and down the country.
The important fact here, was that, even now I can’t think of any player who recently came through their academy and was sold on for anything but peanuts or to an ex-united managed club.
You can churn out academy players by the bucketload, you can put them into the 1st team (Rashford… err.. mctominay… and then you’re scraping the barrel), but why bother if the bucketload are just shifted out for minimal values?
There’s many questioning how we get so much money for ‘fringe’ or outright ‘academy’ players…
Surely after 10 years of us saying our academy is going to (and now has) steamrolled them, it’s not hard for the penny to drop?
Our academy , our training, our facilities, our player support and our club, is head and shoulders above the under invested, ‘this is Manchester United’ academy. The facts speak for themselves - City academy players (with 0 1st team appearances) go for tens of millions… name a single united academy product with 0 1st team appearances that left for anywhere near even 1m.
Their academy past (now over 30 years old for the ‘dont win anything with kids’ generation) is what they cling onto… yet the reality is obvious and stark in its obvious fact.
United for over 10 years had the golden goose, and due to arrogance and stupidity have effectively strangled it. All by themselves.
There are still some, most recently Anthony Elenga to Forrest for 15 million. But certainly not on the scale of our sales over recent seasons.
