I know you guys will probably start going mental and calling me names or anything else childish, but you'll never be one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Its like Espanyol saying they'll be bigger than Barcelona, Torino saying they'll be bigger than Juventus or Athletico saying they'll be bigger than Real Madrid. Even if you do achieve success, which I think you will, the history and infamy of the biggest teams with bigger trophy cabinets will always be ahead of you. You might have some temporary success, but you'll never be the biggest in the world, and neither will Spurs. Sad but true IMO. The name of the bigger clubs will always be the lure for the best players and as far as I see it, its a closed club.
Partly true but there's room to become a lot, lot bigger. We or Spurs might not be able to fully become clubs as big as the examples you give (those aren't just big clubs, they're a tier beyond really) but there's room to grow into becoming a club nowhere near as far behind.
Take clubs that are already 'big' but not one of the two of three biggest in their country, like Lazio or Atletico Madrid. You're telling me if they had a an era of dominating their domestic league (say 3 titles in 5 years for the sake of example) and winning a couple of Champions' Leagues they wouldn't be able to thought of as much closer on a par to the 'super clubs' ? Of course they would IMO. They might be able to completely overtake them but they'd be a damn sight closer to them. Things aren't as static in football as your defeatist attitude seems to think.
