Blaise Matuidi

Swap deals almost never happen but if this story has any legs: Nasri for Matuidi + cash, if they really want Samir and if Matuidi's value has depreciated so much because of his contract. We'll struggle to find room for Nasri if we're buying Isco too, which is a bit sad as Nasri might flourish under Pellegrini.

Matuidi is more disciplined in the holding role than Yaya or Fernandinho so would be a very good addition. We would almost certainly have to find buyers for Barry and Garcia or at least one of them...

We need all the creative options we can have, Nasri has to stay.

Thiago is scum bound by the looks of it so maybe that's why we are after Matuidi, for ten million it's not worth arguing about so just sign him up.

I would consider moving Barry on now anyway.

Garcia for me should be a back up center back.

I dont know. That was definitely a good display. He either makes perfectly timed challenges most of the time or he dives in a lot.
But he's definitely more Dejong than Javi.
He seems to have good reading of the game with the number of interceptions he made.
He moves a bit laboriously, like Yaya.
And it seemed like the ball was running away from him half the time, ofcourse its spain they're playing.
I just haven't watched him closely when I watch Psg; Its hard to, with Pastore and Lavezzi playing.

Not a bad shout ...

Rodwell, Barry,Milner
Matudi,Yaya,Ferndandinho

Decent replacements, then ahead of them

Isco,Silva,Navas,Tevez

Cavani,Aguero

Would be ideal, plenty of options and versatility

You've got too many players and no defenders pal.

Man City Target £10m PSG Midfielder Blaise Matuidi

City hope to sign French international on the cheap.

Manchester City are targeting a £10million move for PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi according to talkSPORT, despite the French international being available for free next summer.

City want the 26-year-old to become their third signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Fernandinho from Shakhtar Donetsk and Jesus Navas from Sevilla, as they remain interested on strengthening their midfield options.

Matuidi scored eight goals for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season, and has often been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past, though the Gunners’ interest is thought to have dropped. It is now thought that City could face competition from Rafael Benitez’s Napoli for the midfielder’s signature.

Matuidi’s contract expires at the end of next season, but City are so keen to land him now that they will try PSG’s hand with an offer of £10million for the former Saint Etienne star.

PSG may be tempted to sell the player if they do not get him to agree to a new contract, and he would certainly be an improvement on the likes of Gareth Barry and Javi Garcia in City’s midfield.
