Blaise Matuidi

Yaya prefers to play more forward, which I don't mind... but with the probable new found use of wingers it may be best he stay as a holding mid. Whichever, I'd be happy with Matuidi joining us.

We should consider, with the Barca influence we have these days perhaps we're going for their formation. What is it again, a 1-10? 10 midfielders on the field at all time?

Swap deals almost never happen but if this story has any legs: Nasri for Matuidi + cash, if they really want Samir and if Matuidi's value has depreciated so much because of his contract. We'll struggle to find room for Nasri if we're buying Isco too, which is a bit sad as Nasri might flourish under Pellegrini.

Matuidi is more disciplined in the holding role than Yaya or Fernandinho so would be a very good addition. We would almost certainly have to find buyers for Barry and Garcia or at least one of them...

Matuidi vs. the best national team in the world:

This.

I know I am going to be shouted at quite a lot (and I am not saying he will stay) but I think Garcia would do well along side Fernandinho and would save use money buying Matuidi. He is the foil to Fern's thrust. I've watched quite a lot of PSG this year and while Matuidi is good, I just don't see him as being that much better than Garcia (who hasn't gotten much of a chance from most on here), despite how YouTube may make him look.

If he's good PSG wiill not let him leave they don't need to.

But Barry does that job much better than Garcia & is still not as slow as him & has much more energy, in spite of being older.

his contract will expire next summer and IF our interest for him is real and he want a move hear PSG will sell him for 8-12M tbh

Barry does not do the job better. Barry barely did a job at all last season--he was horrid for most of the matches he played in. What was worse is he was one of our main weaknesses in Europe. His inability to keep possession under pressure was costly (something Garcia does not have difficulty doing).

And Barry his faster then Garcia? Really?
