But Barry does that job much better than Garcia & is still not as slow as him & has much more energy, in spite of being older.

Barry does not do the job better. Barry barely did a job at all last season--he was horrid for most of the matches he played in. What was worse is he was one of our main weaknesses in Europe. His inability to keep possession under pressure was costly (something Garcia does not have difficulty doing).

And Barry his faster then Garcia? Really?

Haha what a steaming pile of horse dung.

And an eloquent retort.

This is a forumfor debate, so debate. Those comments make you look juvenile.

A bus turns quicker than Garcia!

Please don't tell me you think Barry has a quick turn? And Garcia is much better in possession. If I had the time I could put together YouTube video highlights showing how often Barry lost possession under pressure and contrast that with how often Garcia held the ball and played a safe pass. In one game alone I watched him give away six balls, two completely without pressure, and one lead to a goal (the infamous "what was he thinking" cross field pass).

All that said, I didn't mean to hijack this thread about Mutuidi, so I will stop responding.

Carry on the debate about that player.

Thats because i am, im only 10. Seriously though i went home and away last season and even though he did have a few shockers i think they were few and far between and that he did a great job for us overall, definatley need to think more in Europe though.

Oh sorry I'll just accept your version of events then and say fuck all.

Have a look at this rag shite trying to justify Carrick v Barry in the same position & read the stats comparisons.

Garcia has performed way below Carrick.

You have as much idea as the rag who wrote that & show as much respect for one of our top players in the title season .

I am not sure what you are on about since I was referring to last season, when we did not in fact win the title, and Barry was well below the form of the 2011/12 campaign. And if you read my other posts you'll see that I have not disrespected him in any way. You're speaking without reading, but if you'd like to continue the discussion please feel free to PM me so we don't further muddle a thread about the possible transfer of another player.

You're basically suggesting he is a liability & writing him off in favour of our most inept midfield player so far, who, up til now, has been close to disasterous in almost every game he has played.

And if we're talking about last season, Barry is again close to the top stats wise there as well, in a season where everyone else apart from Zabba, Tevez & Milner, played at a lower standard than they did in the previous season, yet he gets singled out.

People have it in for certain players who deserve better. Garcia, so far, does not deserve better.

I don't have it in for Barry. I simply recognize the reality. He collapses when pressed. The rest of the league has figured that out now, too. That's not praise nor indictment of Garcia. I imagine the new manager will make an objective evaluation of both.

The idea that Barry or others such as Lescott etc 'collapse when pressed' but when it happens to Yaya, Nastasic, Vinny, Silva etc & they lose possession in dangerous positions, 'it's just a one off' pisses me off, greatly.

What part of thread hijack or PM do you not comprehend?

I apologize to everyone for starting this but I am no longer responsible for others ignoring the subject of this thread.

Back to regular scheduled programming:

Mutuidi is not needed, in my opinion, but if we sign him, I would be happy.
