Blatter claims UEFA draws were rigged

It's possible Blatter could be put up to this by investigators to expose others in return for a more lenient sentence, similar to what the FBI did with Chuck Blazer.

Being a calculating individual doesn't preclude someone from engaging in scorched earth, if it is the only viable option.
 
How would Blatter even know about hot and cold balls in the draw? What reason would he have to be anywhere near the mechanics of the draw? It's not even his own organisation.

Whilst I don't doubt the likelihood of UEFA corruption, this sounds like mischief making, or attention shifting to me. If Blatter has really witnessed this, and he would need hands on the spheres to know about it, why hasn't he named the occasion?
 
If others came forward to confirm this happens (or has happened), what could possibly be done about it?
I always thought it was pretty obvious when the rags always got easy groups or draws. I used to predict virtually every opponent they got. It's about as likely as spinning a coin and getting tails 10 times in a row.

ref the damaged product - we should "enjoy" this tournament with sponsors ad's round the pitch - at this rate international football will be bereft of big companies prepared to sponsor them ..... what with tennis revelations, finding drugs cheats from several years back by rechecking samples many major sponsors will probably fight shy of corrupt big sports - ironically their interest and their injecting huge sums of money in has led to the corruption - a great many "minority" sports could benefit. Coming soon? Arm wrestling sponsored by Mastercard ?
