Blood pressure

I was told by a nurse that usually the first one is high because you are anxious about doing it, and worried what the result will be, last time I did it 3 times, and the 3rd one was the lowest.
I believe they call it “white coat syndrome”.

An alternative is to buy a monitor - not expensive- and supply your own readings to your GP practice. Saves time and energy all round.

Once you're on BP tablets, the chances are you're on them for life.

I started out on them and did not like the side effects, like feeling tired on a regular basis. But the Doc said it was too dangerous to take me off them - too much risk of stroke. Eventually, he changed the type of BP tablets. I'm not sure I'm any better off, but at my age being knackered all the time is pretty standard.
How old are you if you don't mind me asking ?

the only thing i wondered was it was just after my first covid jab so wondered if my body was fighting the unknown.

Went to the nurse 144/76 , at home sometimes it reads the top number but other times much lower , the lower number was much lower than my machine has been reading , mine has been around 90 , she said her reading she did twice and it is ok given i am really stressed about something else health related

Going to not take it over the weekend as it is stressing me more then do another diary

She booked me for bloods on tues then a proper health check and another reading the week after , that and the other thing appointments sorted in days , i know people have probs with their surgeries and hospitals but my trust rocks

Back on keto to shift a stone and walking in the mornings best i can
