Blue Alliance Survey Results - SING UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS

great work.

the banner issue - in CL games there are no sponsors on the boards around the fron of tier 2 so banners can be placed anywhere but pull them up as high as poss to stop complaints from below - its only fair to the blues below you.

this is great news, especially after the disappointment yesterday when it was falling out !

it would be a big help if pictures were taken and filming put on the website during game highlights , this would create more awareness and make fans realise how good it looks.

Bring on more flag days, ticker tape throwing, if you want to be part of it wear a scarf...

look forward to meeting up at the waldorf pub, look forward to the ajax game, great idea !

Well done & good luck
Personally loved the inflatables back in the day, don't like the little flags on each seat looks a bit contrived

glad to hear the news. not really into the continental stuff, but the games in the past few season when ticker tape has been used, looked GREAT!
I sit East stand L2. Hoping to hear the atmosphere improve, don't like the way it's usually just me and 3 other blokes dotted about that sing. Strangely despite the fact that its quiet where i sit, there was loads of people who brought ticker tape near me the last time we tried getting it going. I guess it shows that people express themselves differently. So i say bring on the ticker tape!

-- Mon Oct 15, 2012 9:54 pm --

Always makes me smile when the inflatable bananas come out, not sure what it is but it brings back that childhood excitement. I'm all for the bananas too, so long as it adds to the atmosphere.

everyone has a different view on the atmosphere, this way we can progress the most popular when we take snapshots of views every now and again

this season is 25 years since the start of the inflatable craze 87-88, i mentioned bringing inflatables in but they weren't keen, got the feeling the stewards would just pop them. obviously if a large number of people are going for one idea or another that would get filtered through to the club to act on

what's cheesy in the eyes of one fan is alright in the eyes of another, and vice versa

we'll take a snapshot of ideas on the 27th again before swansea and 1 or 2 guys from the branch will be on here with feedback or an announcement of what's likely to happen at a certain home game

inflatables for west brom or the madrid game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great news that the club are supportive of your efforts and I applaud what you are trying to do.

The fact is though thatyou need to think differently about this and be bold if things with the atmosphere are really to change.

Ticker tape, flags, look great but they arent going to improve the atmosphere. You need songs that can last and be sustained and you need something to help keep the atmosphere and inform people of the songs to sing. it is the ONLY way to ensure the fans sing the same songs and songs take off for the rest of the ground to join in. This is even more important when you have two disparate singing sections.

I'm sorry and i know it upsets people, particularly the luddites amongst our support, but the reality is that the only thing that hasnt been tried are a drum and a Capo and these are the only things that can ensure a level of coordination that is essential for chants to take hold for longer than 30 seconds.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Much as i applaud the efforts here i dont see anything different that will materially change the atmosphere short of the usual tremendous performance on the pitch that always helps.

TBA should get their much bigger numbers involved in coordinating songs at the EDS games whether that does or doesnt involve a drum or capo. At least it will start a level of coordination and practice of new chants.

keep up the good work im not having a go, the efforts you are putting in to make a difference should be applauded but you need to be more radical than ticker tape and slightly earlier arrival.

I dont disagree with these initiatives, but it does seem to me that the quality of the atmosplere is established in the 10 mins after kick off rather than before. There's generally a good atmosphere at kick off, then people sit down and wait for things to happen. That's when the atmosphere can become flat.

Im all for improving the atmosphere, and I'm happy to see so Many people taking the iniative and actively trying to do something about it.

One thing I would suggest is slowing the pace at which songs are sung, Vs Dortmund being one example. The Balotelli song was a sprint, two verses done in 45 seconds tops.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking drag it out like Spurs do (that personally does my head in) but at a slower pace, it allows chants to be better understood and I think it'll also help prevent the awkward 2 minutes following a song where everyone looks at eachother wondering what's next ?
