Come on, admit it. That initial gratitude that your favourites weren’t in the lower reaches of the Top 100 is slowly being replaced by the fear that they’ll miss out entirely, isn’t it?

This latest list goes all the way up to 11.

Two Manc bands for you today: Happy Mondays and Doves plus some other highly thought-of bands from elsewhere in the UK: Elton John, The Specials and Depeche Mode.

Forum favourites, Talking Heads make #40, and surely there isn’t person on the planet who will be able to resist moving their feet when Steve Wonder’s “Superstition” starts up. Well, maybe Man United’s midfield, they struggle to move their feet for anything these days.
I think if the Mondays and Doves were from Milton Keynes they wouldn't have made the top 100. Stand out like a sore thumb for all the wrong reasons.
