Surprised one of Manchester's finest bands Working For A Nuclear Free City haven't made an appearance yet. Sadly overlooked in many a poll but innovators none the less.
Will do.Interested to see this list if it remains at zero for the duration...........
I had The Specials and Doves too, numbers 6 and 7 on my list. For me Doves were the band of the noughties, releasing 4 great albums in the decade. I also liked Black Rivers, the brothers' band and preferred their music to Jimi's solo work.Woo hoo 4 in that list, I may actually not be tone deaf atfer all.
Having seen 3 of my 4 live (doves, mondays, the specials) and david byne solo, all again were memeorable.
Met Jimmy Goodwin during his solo stint after he played a gig and I spent a very good night chatting with him in the salisbury, such a shme at present Doves are having bad times in my top 3 when it comes Manc bands.
The specials I was too young to see originally but had their 7"s, eventually saw them at the Apollo a few years back and they were brilliant.

Wish I could have seen The Specials live, I expect they were great having seen some of their gigs on telly.
I still have 8 in my list which I expect to be in the top 36 and 2 which I don't !
Only one act there that I've seen live: Elton; might get to see him again (only second time at one of his own gigs) if they don't keep postponing. The gap between buying the tickets and the actual event could run to four years!Positions #37 – #43

Come on, admit it. That initial gratitude that your favourites weren’t in the lower reaches of the Top 100 is slowly being replaced by the fear that they’ll miss out entirely, isn’t it?
This latest list goes all the way up to 11.
Two Manc bands for you today: Happy Mondays and Doves plus some other highly thought-of bands from elsewhere in the UK: Elton John, The Specials and Depeche Mode.
Forum favourites, Talking Heads make #40, and surely there isn’t person on the planet who will be able to resist moving their feet when Steve Wonder’s “Superstition” starts up. Well, maybe Man United’s midfield, they struggle to move their feet for anything these days.
You're not alone there. We will dominate the top 35 though.Still zero.
If the Mondays were from Leeds or Brum would they be in this list ?
If the geographical shift still allows them to create something to the standard of Pills n Thrills then yes..........If the Mondays were from Leeds or Brum would they be in this list ?
