I go …
1. The Beatles
2. Led Zeppelin
3. Pink Floyd
4. Oasis
5. The Rolling Stones or Bob Dylan.
Don’t worry, I counted your George Harrison vote under his own name, so it didn’t affect The Beatles total.Because I put Harrison in my 15 it would be a travesty if that made the Beatles No1, I’d want to withdraw my vote and have a recount. Same for Oasis if LG isn’t in the top 5: sorry I didn’t take more time with my top 15
What a depressing top 5
1. Beatles - yeah I can dighow? They all rule the roost.
I'd have thought New Order might make the top 5.I go …

But REM didnt have one of the worlds greatest poets in their line up.I liked the Doors fine, but REM was better at -- playing music, having a long career, releasing records with mostly all good songs without much filler, keeping songs under 5 minutes, eliminating idiot solos, having something interesting to say about social structure (though it took them five albums to accomplish that), and -- most of all -- not having a drug-addled wastrel drunk as a lead singer who never would have been anything had he not been good-looking . . . you know, shit like that.
At least Ray Manzarek produced X, a band no one else here put in their top 15 but me I'm guessing.
Wow, all British except Dylan.I go …
1. The Beatles
2. Led Zeppelin
3. Pink Floyd

The cancelo chant is a cracker. One of the best I’ve heard in a while. Hopefully it gets going
And neither did the Doors. But REM didnt have one of the worlds greatest poets in their line up.
