I’m a lot prettier than him. Also he’s a fat cûnt.

Anyway, how’s everyone training?

I'm not, not in the sense you guys are. I'm running 25 miles or so a week, cycling close to 80. Add in 75 press ups first thing every morning, in 1 set, i'm happy with how it's going, probably should hit some weights but just can't be arsed at the moment.

Be glad when the season is over as i'll be getting back off the booze for a month or 2.

That’s still a bloody good amount of cardio and press ups.

Booze is such a pain, I love it, this is the least I’ve had since I was about 13/14, my liver is probably grateful.

I woke up Monday and thought my sides were going to split i was in that much pain from 3 days of solid drinking............

Then i realised it was because we'd beaten those scouse cunts to the title.......

Thanks mate, can see my body shape has changed totally due to it, get plenty of comments now on my weight which is always nice to hear, never been 'fat' but sometimes just carry a little too much.

Really should get down to gym, trying to fit it in will be tough as i also started my open water swimming season last night......

Good job i'm now on my own again ;0(

Also @FantasyIreland how do you tend to cope with dropping fat and building muscle. Finding it a really delicate balancing act. I’m running approx 30km a week and hitting the weights quite hard and so far I’m certainly lighter and stronger but I know that balance probably won’t hold.

Would you recommend dropping the body fat first with increased cardio and then loading on the muscle, or vice versa, or just continuing to eat clean, avoid the sugar/carbs and keep the even balance of cardio and resistance?

I’ve never really had to do both at the same time before although muscle memory seems to be helping gains whilst the scales are still dropping.

I’ve never been able to do both at the same time due to the fact the number of calories needed to achieve the 2 elements are at odds with each other.

I must say I enjoy both phases but always ‘feel’ better when restricting calories / sugars and leathering the cardio than I do in a ‘weights, big scran, weights’ phase.

You’re looking good mate. If you keep at it you’ll have the upper hand once you hit 40 when you’ll only need to think about sugar / a pint to put weight on.

I run 5k two days a week and for 3 others I do circuits in the work gym. Had my parents over at the weekend and for the first time in a good while, I was pleased with how I looked in a photograph.

I don't do any exercise at weekends aside from maybe going for a walk somewhere.

Been on Stronglifts for about 8 weeks now, kept to the 3 times a week and trying to tow the line of eating enough food to try and help the GAINZZZ but cut out some of the crap. Will be going on a no booze run before Glastonbury in June as well.

Current figures;
Squat - 65kg
OHP - 37.5kg
Dead - 80kg
Bench - 50kg
BarbellRow - 45kg

Looking to do SS up until Glasto (end of June) then when i come back start a different program. I have read its the best way to do it, build up the form and strength with SS and then look at doing a 'proper' split program. Happy to take on any other opinions.

Some proper metrosexual posts in this thread haha

Anyway, recently put up a bag in my garage/gym and upgraded my MTB to a Specialized Rockhopper Pro which will be a dream to ride this summer.
