Became Mersey Lights then didn't it.
Yes it did. Funny story but when it finally closed a few regulars broke in one night, took beers and a ghetto blaster and lit a fire in the fireplace, had a party lol.

I watched the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford towards the end of the 91 - 92, keeping very quiet throughout. Nothing unusual there, I reckon there were a good few Blues doing the same thing.
What was unusual was there we’re about fifty to a hundred Blues stood in the corner of the terrace to the right. I thought they’d get kicked out, but stewards stood round them instead and they let sky blue balloons off just before kick off.
It was all a bit surreal, not least when Keith Curle equalised from the penalty spot and they were jumping about celebrating.
Was anyone on here there or know the story behind it? Never seen owt like it before or since, but praise be to those Blues that made that corner of the Stretford End ours!
I was at that one. We got 850 tickets when the Stretford End was being rebuilt. I was in the United Road Paddock.I was in there when City were only given a couple of hundred tickets. I tried to remain anonymous, nah it didn't work.
Is that the game the toe sucker scored after a few minutes. In their seats just below where the seats they give us now in their old main stand. Toe sucker scored and not many near me jumped up. Lots of nods and winks even though we were one downI was at that one. We got 850 tickets when the Stretford End was being rebuilt. I was in the United Road Paddock.
Top man is johnYes John his name is ex seaman and a big Blue I knew him years ago, we used to drink in the Snooty Fox on Princess Parkway. We were having a drink in there before the Charlton 5-1 promotion game and Alan the manager at the time gave us free hospitality tickets in the Maine Stand as the brewery were sponsoring it. He was also in Porto for the champions League final.
I actually can't remember the result but I remember they always used to give us a little strip of seats to the side of where the away end is now, pretty much that small part of the main stand which is still given to away fans. I can remember seeing them standing up and chanting but can't remember much else and the figure of 850 has always stuck with me.Is that the game the toe sucker scored after a few minutes.
