BM Golf Comp '13: **Important Update-Vote!**

Re: Bluemoon Golf Competition 2013

picking Rory instead of Tiger is looking like the worst decision thats ever been made.

Re: Bluemoon Golf Competition 2013

Well Tiger is tearing it up on the PGA Tour and nobody has an answer. His 3rd win of the season triggers the 500 point bonus and means that unsurprisingly we're starting to see a 2 tiered table forming. Strong performances despite hiccups for each from Bradley, Rose and Fowler mean that some teams were racking up the points this week in our strongest point scoring week in stroke play so far. This inevitably means by default that those with players not playing or players who had a poor week were obliterated sadly, here's the table:

1) PhuketBlue 5550
2) The cookie monster 5155
3) MC 5020
4) TaxiforCreaney 4770
5) angleseyblue 4695

We move onto this week and it's a week's respite for half the leaderboard as Tiger does not play in the Shell Houston Open. Hunter Mahan defends his title against a field including McIlroy, Mickelson, Snedeker, Oosthuizen, Bradley, D Johnson, Olesen, Stricker & Watney. The European Tour heads to Morocco for the Trophee Hassan II, little prize money on offer but the European Tour stalwart Francesco Molinari returns and it's quite a decent field. As a result I feel I can warrant keeping the categories the same as last week.

PGA Tour-Shell Houston Open-Category C.
European Tour-Trophee Hassan II-Category D.

Enjoy a tournament guaranteed not to be won by Tiger.

Re: Bluemoon Golf Competition 2013

this is what tournaments should be like. 33 players within 5 of the lead in America.

Re: Bluemoon Golf Competition 2013

Well we had an interesting week. DA Points held off a resurgent Henrik Stenson to win the Shell Houston Open, both players booked their place at Augusta at the expense of Marcel Siem, who cruised to victory in the Trophee Hassan II but missed out on an Augusta place for now due to results in the States. Not many points scored this week, in fact a few people went backwards a bit due to missed cuts but a couple of people picked up a few points:

1) PhuketBlue 5550
2) The cookie monster 5215
3) MC 4980

This week we have a quieter week as there is nothing on the European Tour as the focus falls on the final week of prep before everyone heads to Augusta for the Masters next week. Those who are playing head to the TPC in San Antonio, Texas for the Valero Texas Open, Rory's final chance to find form ahead of Augusta. He heads a field that includes the in-form Matt Kuchar, Schwartzel, Poulter, Siem, Harrington, Karlsson, Hanson and Jacobson. Just a week away from the first major of the year.

Re: Bluemoon Golf Competition 2013

Well we had a very interesting Valero Texas Open with Martin Laird shooting a stunning nine under 63 to storm to an incredible and unlikely victory and book his coveted place at Augusta this week. He saw off a resurgent Rory McIlroy who has played himself back into some semblance of form with a strong 2nd place finish at the weekend. This means that there were some much needed points taken by the bottom half of the table last week:

1) PhuketBlue 5620
2) The cookie monster 5285
3) MC 5110
4) TaxiforCreaney 4835
