Just hoping the lethargy on show was more a game-plan of not playing too strenuous as a draw was all was needed; plus a game on Saturday.

It was a strange game. I thought BMG would throw everything at it. Strange to see them play so conservatively and allow us to control possession when it was win or bust for them. They didn't look like they believed they could win.

Well they played an open game at the Etihad and got slaughtered, so I suppose they thought in this game they'd play it tight at the back and catch us on the break and it worked in the first half

Yes 1st half their tactics were working but I expected them to go for it in the 2nd. They just gave up on the game when it was 1-1. It was if they were 3-0 down. It's not like we were that convincing and had demoralised them.

They had a man sent off relatively early in the second half and for ten minutes couldn't get the ball
Even when Dinho was sent off we continued to dominate possession

Don't understand why Aguero wasn't given the Shepherd's Crook on 60 mins. He's clearly not 100%. instead we pissed around at the back.

If I was one of their fans I'd be going mental tbh. You fight to the end, not throw in the towel because it looks hard. As soon as we went down to 10, they should have been busting a gut to get a winner, to sit back and play for a draw there was embarrassing.

Well he picked the wrong team, and he basically admitted it by changing it so quickly (and often).

3 at the back doesn't work with the players we have available, Navas is never a right back, Sterling can't play on the left, and he used all of these first half, which suggests he doesn't know who he can trust where, or what the best team/tactic is, and by now he should have some idea, so he should take the blame for the first half, because it was chaos in reality. Luckily we found our legs last 5 minutes and equalised.

The rest of the game was a none event, we probably had the best of a couple of chances each team. The inexplicable red card for Fernandhino (which gives him a week off between important games, and luckily turns out to be a bonus) didn't help obviously, and the last 15 minutes, did BMG actually touch the ball ?

As I said earlier, I look forward to us playing well sometime soon, because we certainly aren't at the moment, luckily (and I mean luckily) we are getting decent results, despite far too much tinkering, both with personnel and formations.

In the end we've done all that was required tonight, are through, and can rest people V Celtic, but don't kid yourself it was professional, it wasn't, it was rather fortunate.
