Yeah....unless the playing time becomes an issue.

Honestly, if you look closely....City have probably the best defensive depth and quality in the world.

Richards first choice RB....which means Zabba will rotate with him there and cover if injured, and other way around. Zabba played about half of his games last season at LB. And he can still play some in midfield aswell.

Now the club has Clichy and Kolarov at LB....which leaves Zabba as 3rd choice to cover if Clichy and Kolarov are both injured/both need badly rest.

The same with Boateng if he stays...he is 3rd choice to play RB if Zabba and Richards are both unavailable.

This makes it highly unlikely that in some part of the season Boateng and Zabba are needed to play RB and LB respectively. Unless we are unlucky with injures of course. :)

Not to mention the club currently has 5-6 Centre-backs! :D Hopefully everyone gets enough of games. Thankfully we are in the CL, which means that no reserves teams are fielded unlike last year in the EL.

Disappointed to see him go.

But he was a daft signing as a right back and I said so at the time.. ;-))
