Under Mancini, we played some of the best football I have ever seen... and I mean ever. Spurs away in the 5-1 for example - simply sublime at times!

Even I'll say he deserves our thanks for the incredible memories he brought us. But it's clear that his impact was more and more negative and he wasn't getting the best out of what he had. Baconface got time back in the late 1980's because they were convinced they had the right man. Mancini got the heave-ho only once our owners were wholly convinced he wasn't the right man.

No problems with that at all, we can agree to disagree about whether Bobby should still be here or not ( I would have kept him, but can see the argument for getting rid).

The thing which has annoyed me is the way it has been done, uncertainty on the eve of the final which can't have helped the players or bobby's focus and now the malicious gossip which seems to come in part from the club.

Hopefully it will all settle down so we can all look forward to the new season / manager and the continued success of mcfc.

This thread is really showing up the Outers as contemptible miserable human beings who cannot even let Mancini get a farewell from most of the fanbase who are appreciating what he did at this club, and what he's done in the MEN, without the fucking footnote. it is possible to be grateful to our owner......to believe that the board is trying to act in the best interests of the club......to understand the logic behind the decision......to have respected Mancini.....to feel saddened by the clubs treatment of him and to express this frustration....and to point a finger in the direction that appears to be responsible for the anti-Mancini shite that the press is coming out with which appears to be emanating from the club

none of this is mutually exclusive

because we are gtrateful to our owner/ chairman etc does not mean that we have to act in a lemming like fashion and agree with everything that they say and do

in my experience that sounds like the very opposite of what I would expect from City supporters tbh

I totally agree. I don't have an issue with people being grateful to Mancini and I don't have a problem with people questioning things at the club. Personally, I just don't feel especially grateful to Mancini and I do feel grateful to the owner. Just a different opinion that is all. I'm not going to say I feel something that I don't.

Are you suggesting he wasn't a very well paid employee at the club? Or are you suggesting that he didn't sometimes do a good job and sometmes didn't? What is making you so absolutely staggered?

You can say what you like dude, just the fact that you don't seem to give him any credit or thanks for what he achieved speaks volumes and yes he couldn't have done it without our magnificent owners support but it works both ways!

Mancini showing he has more class in his little finger than our entire board and many posters on here. Anyone who is trying to spin this in a negative way to once again spew more hate on Mancini needs to have long hard look at themselves because you are ungrateful twats.

I'm not particularly grateful to Mancini. He was a very well paid employee at the club who sometimes did a good job and sometimes didn't. The only person at the club that I am genuinely grateful to is the owner. I'm grateful that he chose City and I'm grateful that he continues to plough hundreds of millions into the club when the chances are that he will never make a penny of it back. I make no apology for that and if it makes me a twat then so be it. I'm not suggesting that decisions at the club can't ever be questioned but maybe he thinks that people whinging about the manager being sacked are ungrateful twats. Who knows?

Like I said more class in his little finger than you could ever dream of having. We're all grateful our owner pumped cash into our team but in your world that means the manager deserves none for delivering the success you've enjoyed over the last few years under huge pressure? Do me a fucking favour.

I haven't said he deserves no gratitude, I said I don't feel any gratitude and I gave my reasoning. There is a subtle difference. I'm not telling you to not be grateful. If you feel gratitude, then you do, that's great. I'm just saying that I don't. Although I do realise that everyone should feel and think the same way about everything.
