BOGOF

It does all seem very 'make it up as you go along' with the ticketing policy these days

They really need to get it right next season as we head into the season with an expanded stadium

At the moment im not going to bother with any of the schemes next season, there really is no incentives with it. I know for a fact that if I hadn't have gone in this season I would have been able to get my own seat for Roma, CSKA and Bayern, in fact there is more advantages to not being in it as you can pick and choose which group games to go to, and as this CSKA fixture has proven if you hang on long enough you will get offered a ticket BOGOF

I go with my mate and between us we have paid £50 to go to CSKA, if we weren't in the scheme we could have both gone for £25.

No-ones gonna like this me included

just had a call from a mate and tickets now are available for " students " priced £10 for Newcastle next week and the cska game

its the first time this season they've been available or at least the first time iv had a call to say they are for that price

its a fucking joke, last time I go on any cup scheme now

Haven't the 18-21 tickets been £10 all along ? thats what I paid for my lads on the scheme and that age group pretty much covers students ? am I missing the issue here ?

they get bought and normal blues go ,NOT STUDENTS,where I work its been going on for about 4 or 5 years

City just doing what the can to expand the fanbase and get the ground full for lower-demand fixtures. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't, although this seems a bit disorganised.

As a CL Scheme member it doesn't bother me in the slightest, and this "BOGOF" thing is a lot fairer than cutting the prices for some but not others.

I'll stay on the CL scheme for convenience and also because there are times when I want the ticket priority. If we get to a semi or final demand will be absolutely outragious. And that day is coming.

Thing is Dave you will still get your seat offered to you first as a ST holder

Being in the CL scheme or not, if we get to the final about 60% of ST holders will struggle to get a ticket

I'm happy if some students get in for a tenner. In the short term this means less empty seats and maybe a few extra loyal fans in the medium to longer term!

That's the whole point though int it ???? there will be hardly any students that go,the people who get them to sell fromtheir work (ie secretaries ) via colleges and uni's tell their friends and family and most that go are blues who cant afford it are wont pay for a normal seat.City need to be really careful what they're doing, its pissing a lot of people off

OK mate fair point. These tickets shouldn't be going to those who could afford it via the back door.

Ah, I see the issue. Although Im not sure that the club can be held responsible for people abusing a loophole. The option is we dont sell them and leave seats empty and lose potential revenue. Its the abusers not the club that cock this up but I cant say as I blame them if its easily done.

I do. its not on for me.

Me and my sons are on Cup schemes and will stay on them for now.
At some stage the club may offer cup scheme members a cheap ticket then all not on it will say its out of order.

Just made my 2 nephews who cant afford to go to many games happy with a couple of free tickets. They offered to buy me a beer at the game knowing full well none is on sale!!

Like others have already posted. I'm already on the cup scheme so I went online for me n my mate and added 4 extra tickets. 2 on his name 2 on mine. I went to checkout and deleted the £25 ones which left the free ones. I did mine last night, so I assume of its not working for people now they must have updated the website so you can't do it that way now

Did the same & got 2 confirmation emails £0.

This has been the final straw for me. They can shove the £50 they'll want for the Bayern game as I've just removed myself from the cup scheme. Looking forward to the Newcastle game and will be taking the kids, since it's half term, but I'll stick with the TV for Europe and they can fill my seat with a student who's been given a free ticket.

Can you do that mate? Are you sure it won't effect your card from working for the following PL game?

You can exit the cup scheme, but will have loyalty points removed I think (maybe the sign-up bonus).

Why would it? I've paid for my PL ticket, I haven't paid for the Bayern game and won't be going, so I'm not stealing from them
