Peter Swales stopped paying everyone and put the club into administration?

When did that happen?
Swales almost ran the club into the ground but he was obviously not as bad as the clowns who have run Bolton recently.
As regards geography Bolton is a huge area to draw support from. It is a metropolitan area that goes upto Horwich and Chorley in the North,Farnworth in the South, Little Lever to the East, and Tyldesley in the West.
More than enough of a population to support nearly 30,000 fans when times are good.
However when times are hard they don't want to attend the home games of BWFC.
Statistics don't lie,no matter what type of spin you try to put on it.

Your comments and taunts are just like the ones I used to read or hear from Utd fans throughout the 80's and 90's. Its a little sad to hear them from a City fan, I thought you guys had more class. Bolton has thousands of Utd, City and Liverpool. We were shit in the 60's most of the 70's, 80's and early 90's. The catchment area you name is still within 10 miles of the two big Manchester clubs and a short train ride to Lime Street.

So Bolton don't have to compete with the two Manchester teams for support then?

Geography's obviously not your strong point.

I was going to make this point to him.

Bolton will be full of Rags and a number of City fans too, with its close proximity to Manchester.

One of the Directors at my place is a Preston fan and they have to compete with Rags and Scousers for support.

The situation at Bolton has been dire and having a go at the support, especially while there’s protests, is fucking stupid.

Don’t believe for a second this is a general view. Most of us disagree with him.

See the 7 page thread in the main forum to see what a lot of City fans think about Bolton Wanderers.

So how come there is a thread in the main forum that is 7 pages long and is mainly comprised of posts that denigrate Bolton Wanderers and their fair weather fans. I suggest that you go to Specsavers sometime soon.

The page in the main forum, of which I contributed to, highlights an argument about the size of the clubs and isn’t denigrating Bolton or their fans.

The majority of it is merely pointing out why the Bolton fan in question is wrong to suggest they are a bigger club, not that that matters really.

I suggest, rather than just seeing the posts, you learn to understand them and the context involved.

When you’re ready to get off your high horse and stop being an arrogant git to a club that nearly went out of business recently and is adrift on minus points at the bottom of league 1, let us know, because no City fans should be spouting this shit off, it’s embarrassing.

I have merely pointed out that attendances for Bolton have dropped from @28,000 to @10,000 in the space of 10 years and 2 divisions. Very poor support from any set of fans.
And once again I will re-iterate my main point. They are fairweather fans. That is not just my personal opinion. That is a stone cold hard fact.
