Booing the Champions League Anthem

I would hope the recent scare with Pep should make the booers think a little more. Its getting down to the wire now in achieving our owners ultimate dream of being kings of Europe, especially with Real Madrid and PSG out of the picture. Absolutely no need to add some negativity to our champs league games. Pep and the lads need every bit of encouragement. Why not sing Bluemoon over the anthem as a way of a protest ? It's the most sensible solution surely ?

Since when has Bluemoon been a protest song?
It's not about backing the team is about protesting our treatment from the bent cvnts running the CL.

What do you mean by recent scare? It’s not the made up hollocks in the Mirror was it? I didn’t think anyone thought that was remotely true. People will boo but I’d prefer the irony of not taking our seats until after the anthem... give the fuckers an empty stadium on tv. The sponsors will love that.

That Legia Warsaw display is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Think they did a follow up with the same central figure and the message along the lines of “And the 35,000 Euro fine goes to......”

They did another one after that too after fines and bans were handed out which had UEFA in a red love heart... then they unveiled UEFA to say “Ultra Extreme Fanatical Atmosphere”

I would like to see a "silent, no movements Posnan" if the entire stadium just turned their backs on that dirge of a tune, I think it would say something louder than booing or whistling.

I for one will continue to boo with passion and vigor. It's not an anthem by the way, it's a jingle.

If that is an anthem so to is that annoying 'go compare' advert.

I myself would not boo it (or if I did, it would be because I find it an irritating, pompous piece of music). But I understand people who do. If I'd booked and paid for a hotel in Moscow and then been told I couldn't attend the match because of Moscow fans' racism, I suspect I'd have a long, merciless memory about it.
I strongly doubt that it discourages the players in any way. They're not snowflakes. It last for what, 30, 45 seconds? Then people get behind the team, I would hope. That's the important part. And for some of our matches in the CL the atmosphere during the match has been pretty flat, to be honest. That's my beef. But I cannot attend midweek matches, so I can't say too much about that, either.

Say what you like about it, hating it because it's linked to uefa, but it's an immense peice of music
