Boro Post Match thread

From being at the game today can safely say the improvement will come from turfing out the deadwood...

Willy did nothing wrong and has been fine but he's not a title winning calibre of keeper.

Kolarov was abysmal and will be gone.

Clichy was also abysmal and will be gone.

Otamendi was poor and will hopefully play a lesser role.

Fernandinho is squad player quality at best. We badly lacked a pivot in midfield or a midfielder who can move with the ball through space. Everything is a sideways pass.

5 new quality additions in those areas will be needed and everything will be ok.
How far have we come when we consider a Brazilian international a "squad Player"?

Can think of about 50 managers I'd prefer to Mourinho , probably more so its not a question for me.
Yeh its more aimed at bernabia, he seems to want pep out, im wondering who he actually thinks is the right man. I cant stand mourhino even before he went there and i happen to think him and pep are polar opposites in football philosophy.

Just seen the Rashford penalty, no contact the boy cheated, the Sane penalty, contact was made, went down easy, who doesn't but, penalty. The rags, outplayed today robbed Swansea, when was the last time we robbed anybody?

Sadly i'm losing faith in Pep, first half a tactical disaster, 2nd only slightly better
Palace will fancy their chances next week, that's how bad we have become

The trouble is we don't have enough real goalscorers in the side , if you play one striker then you are relying on Kev, Raheem, Sterling, Sane, Silva , Gundogan , Fernandinho to pick up the slack- even with a striker banging them in like Sergio each season it's nowhere near enough goals to win the big gongs .

We have a chronic lack of goals in the team and it's a big big worry , you simply can't rely on Sterling, Sane and Kev to do the business so it's a big big problem for Pep next season.

So for many the answer on here is to buy Mbappe and Sanchez ? Who drops out then? Or who drops out on a regular basis ? The way I see it is what we have isn't good enough in front of goal, we won't win the big gongs relying on Sterling and Kev or even Sane for that matter.

He got that status by being successful at his previous clubs. I see no reason to believe that he can't be successful at City given the necessary time and resources.

Did he really build teams at Barca/Bayern though? Pretty sure it was all set up for him. I've seen nothing this season to suggest he was worth the wait .

Totally underwhelmed.
