Borussia Dortmund (H) Post-Match Thread

What percentage of Pep would’ve preferred a draw so he didn’t have to face another barrage of mindless questions about Haaland

You can blame Pep for putting out a starting 11 that simply looked slow and short of energy. The pressing simply wasn’t good. The three subs proved that.

But the game always needed the unexpected goal. Stones doing a Kompany. Who would’ve thought that at such a moment.

Haaland scored a freak goal. And these two moments is what was needed. Because Dortmund defended very well. And dictated the tempo. Let us have the ball so they could defend according to plan. That’s up until the 1-1. Or moreso after Dortmund brought on another CD.

Feel very relieved to get away with 3 points. Credit to Dortmund.

How bad were we? Bloody Nora!

That first half and start of second half was like watching grass grow. Nothing was working and it was ssllooww!

Dortmund were bang average n’all and we were making them look much better than they were with Grealish and Mahrez up top, both Grealish and Cancelo on the left, Stones as right half, no mobility anywhere, de Bruyne thinking he played for Dortmund (just kept giving them the ball).

Bernardo Silva was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. Made everyone else’s contributions look a total joke (both teams).

Then John Seedorf stepped up

And a great bit of play from Cancelo and Daniel Son

Jude Bellingham… don’t believe the hype! City’s worst performance for about 20 months and all he did all night was get on the end of one cross.

One of the worst films ever committed to, er, film. Even the sight of a young Elizabeth Shue can't redeem it!
