It was exactly the same against Villa in the last game of last season.

Stones does a job at right back, but the attacking side of his full back role is slow and unnatural. That in turn makes Mahrez ineffectual and therefore the opposition defence doesn’t have to track as far and so can stay compact, closing the half spaces and stopping our attacks more easily.

If we’d have had Cancelo and Gomez as full backs, we’d probably been about 4 up and not needed a worldie from Stones.

Ah well, late comeback wins are superb though.

Not blowing smoke up your ass, but that summary sir is BANG ON. Yes, Mahrez & Grealish offered little to nothing, and they must take the majority of blame for that. But any combo of Walker/Cancelo/Gomez at full back and Mahrez & Grealish have a different game.
 
Pushed Foden high up on his chest/neck area. Not seen it on TV yet, but it was in my corner of the pitch.

Seemed like Phillips went in hard on their player, and Foden doubled down. Seemed to rile Bellingham.
From what I saw he went for foden and Phillips stepped in
