We've avoided the European equivalent of the Carling cup.I'm struggling to get upset about it.

And this.

I actually think that we did ok tonight, apart from completely switching off when Aguero came on... They scored within seconds as we were all looking at each other... but once he got in, he put an un-defendable ball in. They are a really good team and will do really well in this year's competition, and far better than anything we'll meet domestically even with a few changes! It does show us how far we need to progress to succeed in the CL.

But we were missing Yaya & Silva and included Javi Garcia (who actually wasn't as bad as he was v Wigan, although still nowhere near good enough, they were going passed him at will!) and add to that any real desire to go and win the game... It was all over before the home Madrid game anyway and TBH I've felt the same all the way through the last 2 CL games... Sorry, but no Thursday nights suits me, and our title bid, just fine.

So what that we've got the worst English CL group record!? Unlike Blackburn we'll be back again next year, and the year after, and the... You get the idea.

BUT...

If this happens again next year, Mancini won't survive it.

If we don't now go and win the title, he may not get the opportunity.

We'll see.

The money wasted on Garcia, Rodwell,Sinclair and Maicon could have bought a world class replacement for nige, big big mistake.

it was definitely to add depth in numbers, im starting to think it was mainly for if we ended up with europa. its quite clear none are going to be starting many premier league games without injury to first choice players.

Garcia - offer nothing on and off the ball, actually he just strolled around!

Sinclair - average work-rate, poor awareness, technically poor, mid-table player at best.
agreed, scotty put in a shift, he tried, unlike a few i could mention. i prefer to have players that put in a shift, tevez, vinny etc etc, than have a Prima donna, who obviously have talent just not giving a fuck tbh

Bar Tevez, Kompany and Hart every other other player was a complete disgrace, Dzeko and Garcia are complete donkeys and Nasri like he has been from day one invisible. Klopp can manager to get his players motivated for a completely meaningless game for them while all our players couldn't give a shit. Getting sick of seeing these shite performances which have been getting more and more frequent since Chelsea away last year (apart from the final 6 matches last year). Imo Mancini has took us as far as he can.

Rid gullit may be a tosser but he's talking a lot of sense
No he isn't
Said we did not create any chances. Even playing with a shameful lack of commitment Dzeko Tevez and Aguero all had excellent chances.
Gullit has a grudge with Mancini going back to his days in serie A....

Stelling, Gullit and Hoddle are having a proper circle jerk on Sky, wheeling out the transfer fees and all. Sadly I can't disagree with most of what they're saying. Aguero cost more than Dortmund's starting 11 today and they fully deserved their win and played for the shirt.

Mancini blaming missing players on Sky. *head desk*

Christ, missing players? Half of Dortmund's team were missing, Klopp was sending on academy players at the end.

Mancini's excuse of missing players is laughable. Dortmund rested 5-6 players.
