Borussia Dortmund vs Manchester City Match thread

Is the aim supposed to be the top four or forty points?

Another useless preseason game. Mancini has already proved he hasn't got what it takes.

For fuck sake. Isn't this the team that's third favourites? Shite. Highly-paid shite. I am disgusted. No excuses at all for this performance. Gave up and surrendered before even we got going.

Fucking top four my arse. Over before it starts this season. Refund on my seasoncard is what I'm thinking.

Clearly we're nowhere near we need to be. Little did we know how bad it was. Absent without leave tonight. Relegation is playing on my mind now. Kolarov looked poor. I can't see how his fee is justified. Even a certain penalty-conceding midfielder looked better than him. Shite.

I really fucking hope we get a new CB - and keep the Donkey on the bench.
which one?
Kolo I originally thought, but take a pick mate.

He's a mid league defender without a doubt, and Lescott just runs with no bearings and bears as a liability. Vincent's fine imo, but he still fluffs up like the best of em.

The Spuds must be flapping.

It is starting to be a concern that we have no cohesion, no shape and no pattern of play. If it was just a case of new players not knowing old players we should still have a pattern of play that allows for this and we would be drawing these early games 0-0. The front players seem isolated from the back and the defense all seem bunched together playing short passes to each other and not having any space to do anything.
As for saying it only matters at Spurs I would rather see some signs of an improving team before we get there.
Here is hoping for some sort of display on Saturday

Good things tonight:

Kolarov was top drawer.

City obviously spelling his name wrong on his shirt, city never fail to amuse...

Stevie looked more up for it tonight than normally.

Ya ya looked class

Jo proved he really isnt good enough..
about sums it up - city were pucking fants I thought - they best be better against Valencia

This is always amusing. He scores our only goal, Adebayor mentally absent and totally anonymous throughout, and Jo takes the crap.

Also on the bright side, Richards looked solid I thought. Zab looked bad, Barry looked abominable, and Kolarov incredible. :D

OVER REACTION OR WHAT. people its a pre, season FRIENDLY for fucks sake win lose or draw it does not matter, it matters on the first game of the season at spurs trust me we will see the proper city then at full strengh and playing like it matters cos it fooking well does. we rarely do anything in these games and they have NO reflection on our season at all. NOW GET A FOOKING GRIP SAD TWATS.

Same old crap midfield performance, Barry the plodder, Yaya is nothing special, Jo & Ade won't pull up any turnips, never mind trees and the central defense still looks all to cock.
One plus was Kolarov who looks great going forward. Mancini had better find an answer at the back or try 3 centre halves and push the full backs on. #
All a bit poor so far, fingers are crossed for Milner & Balotelli!
