Things to take from tonight for me:

1)Either Silva or Ireland must play in every game, without one of them we are probably the most pedestrian and laboured so called big team I have ever seen. No creativity, no ball retention, no nothing!

If Bobby doesn't rate Ireland then get shot of him asap and get another creative midfielder of the same ilk in (by this I DON'T mean Milner)

2) AK Looks like a top signing, v. good going forward, great set pieces and looked solid at the back too. Its a big plus too that he can use his right foot for more than just standing on it. SWP also deserves a mention for a decent performance.

3) We have a hell of a lot of work to do with very little time left before the season kicks off. Team looks completely shapeless and just plain not interested. Any sort of system or tactics are just none existent. We should be getting close to full fitness now so I really don't buy that excuse and I will actually cry if we get stuffed by Valencia, who are two weeks behind us prep wise, at the weekend.

4)Thank God that we still have Tevez, Silva, Boateng and De Jong to come back!!!!!

I would say based on what has happened in pre season its going to be September/October before the team starts to gel and perform with any sort of consistency.
Mancini has no chance of finding out his best team untill after the season has started. We have yet to start a game with our strongest team, some on here need to calm down a little.

This is always amusing. He scores our only goal, Adebayor mentally absent and totally anonymous throughout, and Jo takes the crap.

Also on the bright side, Richards looked solid I thought. Zab looked bad, Barry looked abominable, and Kolarov incredible. :D

Jo takes the crap because he has proven time and time again that he cant raise his game despite the time on the pitch he is getting.

Same old crap midfield performance, Barry the plodder, Yaya is nothing special, Jo & Ade won't pull up any turnips, never mind trees and the central defense still looks all to cock.
One plus was Kolarov who looks great going forward. Mancini had better find an answer at the back or try 3 centre halves and push the full backs on. #

Serious questions have to be asked about Lescott, Barry, Johnson, Richards, Zabaletta, Adebayor, Bridge, and RSC. Adebayor and Johnson have been massive disappointments in the whole pre-season....I was expecting a lot more from them than some of the others mentioned.
