Bournemouth (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Thought there was a noticeable shift in Skys coverage towards us today, this maybe due to Neville and Carragher not being involved however.

Top performance. Many were excellent: Nunes, O'Reilly, Gonzalez, Foden, Cherki, Haaland, Doku.

Wouldn't play Rodri instead of Gonzalez: start both.

Cherki with the most tackles today :) He's a genius creator. Sometimes should keep it simple. Much more is to come.

Thought Foden was great today.

Nico gonzalez was superb and is showing what a great player he is. Going to be a cracking player for us.

Should have been out of sight in the first half but full credit to Bournemouth for giving it a go.

Still can’t believe that’s not given as a foul on the keeper. He grabs his arm and impedes him from jumping correctly. Should 100% be a foul and gives carte Blanche to foul keepers at corners every game now.

Pep and his team produced a bit of top class tactics and the players did what was asked very well.

Getting good vibes from this team.

Nunes one sloppy pass into midfield apart was quite superb. The midfield was absolutely buzzing and as for Haaland he’s playing a different game to most strikers.

Taylor eventually came to the conclusion that no matter what fuckwhit decisions he gave it wasn’t going to alter the result and reverted to reffing normally.

On we go blues.

We know City monitor this forum, so if you're lurking Pep, you're welcome and i'm available anytime.

Best performance of the season by a distance. Finally got the correct setup and the players were able to perform as a result. Don't think anybody that started had a less than very good game. Balance was there, we didnt look like an amateur side on transition, had a solid midfield and we had ideas going forward. Looked like we could actually compete with anybody.

Fair play to Bournemouth, they played well, they'll win plenty of games over thr season playing worse than that performance.

Got to follow it up by beating the dippers next weekend though.

A great game of football, credit Bournemouth, didn't feel safe till added time. Cracking atmosphere.
It’s hard to say. Bournemouth came and had a go, made it a fabulous game and we won pretty comfortably. Teams argue that 11 behind the ball and a shit game is far better, but maybe it gets them something. I hate watching it, give me today every time but we more than always win those thpes of games.

Very good win against a decent and dangerous team. Best performance of the season. The narrow attack is surely our formation now. Will work agasnt the dippers too

Played well, mostly in control. Although Bmouth looked dangerous at times, they never made the most of anything good they did but you can see why they’re doing well this season. Something I noticed with them which is importsnt to doing well in this league, is their bench had players on as good as their starting XI, no big drop off in quality.

They sat a bit deeper second half and made the game a bit more boring and we were happy with that and we just relaxed a bit more and the game ended up just fizzling out.

But first half was a cracking contest. Cherki was class in the first half. Once he gets fully match fit, if he can put in 90 minute performances like that, he’ll rip it up in this league. He’s made for Haaland/Haaland’s made for him.

Nico controlled the midfield area throughout. My MOTM.

Everyone played well really. But Nunes stood up to the test of Semenyo well as Semenyo even played well but so did Nunes.

Can tell we’ve played well when Pep’s doing his nut at everyone, and he was very active on the touchline today.

Where is my man FromPollockToSilva? We called for this Bro and it worked like a charm! 2 DMs, 2 Tens, and Doku free basically as a second striker. Wing play provided by Nunes and O'Reilly who were both mega. Dias, Gvardiol, Nico G, and Bernardo fantastic defensively. Bravo Pep!!

Good win, entertaining game especially the first half.
Still holding the ball in a few instances when it could be popped off a little quicker.
Incrementally it’s getting better.

What can be more than always ;-)

A great game to watch. Credit to Bournemouth for having a go. They are a slick outfit and I like the way they play.

Thought first half we were excellent. Bit sloppy second half until we scored and then took control.

Standouts for me were Doku and Cherki on the first half particularly.

Obviously Haaland all game, both full backs and Gonzalez/Foden.

In fact I don’t think anyone played particularly below par.

If Tuchel has anything about him OReilly should be left back for the World Cup next year, that lad is brilliant im so happy he scored. Overall good performance and I think that Haaland lad might have a future. Oh and fuck off Taylor you red bastard.
