Football has lost the plot. When they talk about a fit and proper test for owners a modicum of football knowledge should be included. Sacked??? To not just survive but survive comfortably is incredible. 36 pts, I thought they’d be lucky to get 20.

If I was a Bournemouth fan I’d be bloody rioting. This is an outrageous decision.

You may be right. Time will tell. You’d have to assume, unless they are completely clueless that they’ve got somebody already lined up that they consider an upgrade.

All I’m saying is there was a similar reaction when Southampton got rid of Atkins for some unknown foreigner called Pochettino and when Brighton sacked Houghton after keeping them up and brought in Potter.

A manager who stabilised and a team that finished with a lot of confidence. Makes no sense changing in their position.

I'm amazed at that news. What do the owners of the club seriously expect from their team and manager? They're not realistically going to be a top half club, with an outside chance of a EL/ECL spot. And don't forget, they were holed below the waterline when he took over from Parker.

I never really feel sorry for a manager who is sacked. They usually walk away with a big pay out and find another post fairly soon. If you or I were sacked the pay out would be pretty shit and finding another job not so easy.
