99.9% of football fans are normal people.

My guess is that these two have tried to be edgy for their social media profiles and whilst it’s given them the notoriety they craved, it isn’t in the way that they had probably hoped.

True. Back in the day there was a far greater chance of getting your head kicked in, and offensive chanting at matches was more widespread than it is now. And of course black players were racially abused at virtually every ground in the country.

If this turns out not to be a fake/photoshop then it is indeed shocking but part of that is because grounds are a lot safer these days. Guaranteed that if mobile phones existed in the 1970s then these two wouldn’t have been the only ones at it.

You can fake WhatsApp chats even more easily than Photoshopping pics. So should be taken with a pinch of salt.

If you stick that number into WhatsApp its definitely him. Or at least the pic is. IF this had been faked it would have to be one of the nastiest jobs ever.

Irrespective of this case, with the kinds of things you can fake with technology these days this is going to be an increasing issue for the police going forward.

I presume they must have a strategy/capability to stay one step ahead or on top of this sort of thing cause it's going to be a nightmare otherwise.
