Isn't it because of his age, ie even if he went for free they'd have to pay us a fee agreed by tribunal.

Therefore might as well pay us an agreed fee now?

He’s not free in six months time. There would be a fee set by a tribunal to compensate us for his development if the two clubs can’t agree one. This may or may not be as high as the fee now agreed but maybe Real prefer to negotiate directly with us as seemingly our clubs are on friendly terms.

Yep thats true and the money being quoted for that chelsea 18 year old at 30m madrid dont want to take that chance.

You're right they do. But due to the nature of LA Liga they can rest the stars and still win. Also Diaz, like most Spaniards supports Madrid, so will be happier sitting on the bench there.

Good luck to the lad as it’s not everyday Real Madrid cone knocking at your door. They are probably the most famous club in the world and with him being Spanish it’s a no brainer for all parties. As for Jadon sancho and people saying we fucked up as he now plays for England well you don’t have to be elite to be capped by England
