Breaking records/stats thread

We won 8-0 at home to Bradford City on the final day, if we'd won 9-0 and been promoted ahead of Portsmouth there might have been a whiff of corruption in the air! ;-)
The Portsmouth game ended late! It was deeply suspicious and the City fans, management and players were on the pitch celebrating promotion when the news came through that Portsmouth had scored the goal they needed to go up instead! It was a definite fix!

City were 3rd best supported club that season (as a 2nd Div club!) behind NUFC and EFC (only about 600 fans behind EFC too!). In 1927-28 City were the best supported team with an average of 37,468 to First Division Everton's 37,461!

I feel a stirring in my loins when you give good stats.

Can someone help me out here, I thought Kev would have got an assist for the second goal but according to Premier Leagues OS he's still on 15? There might have been a chance for him to equal the record of 20 if he only needed 4 in 3 games, but 5 in the 3 looks just beyond him

Probably because the ball came off both defenders I would guess

Still need 5 of the following to score to equal Arsenal's record of 18 scorers in a PL season. Not going to happen is it?

Diaz
Nmecha
Yaya
Foden
Mendy
Laporte
Stones
Walker
Zinchenko
Ederson

Wonder how long it took for the result to come in from Portsmouth
Not instant like today.
