I never thought to look up Leeds as theirs was the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, which was only a Cup for cities who had hosted a trade fair.Nope, Leeds were
I think so. Think Gary James does tooI never thought to look up Leeds as theirs was the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, which was only a Cup for cities who had hosted a trade fair.
Do you reckon that counts?
I get that to be honest. If you don't support City and see City buy Grealish and Kane it starts to look like Man Utd under Ferguson, or Liverpool in another era.
I would be interested to hear Gary's opinion.I think so. Think Gary James does too
Leeds were first, us second.I also think we were the first English club to win a double that included a European trophy (1969-70, Football League Cup and European Cup Winners Cup)
EDIT- just checked, we were!
I'm guessing you are referring to Leeds 1968 league cup/fairs cup win. According to Wikipedia, UEFA did not organise or recognise the Fairs cup so do not acknowledge it as a European competition. On that basis, I'm more than happy to claim City were the first side to win a double including a European trophy.Leeds we’re first, us second.
Every time I’d imagine..How often have the title winners got more points than the three relegated teams? Wierd stat.
