Brendan Rodgers - How good is he?

He's a very good manager with a fairly set way of playing, solid midfield and pacey forwards.
Ex players speak well of him and Sterling has spoken in the past of the high regard he holds him.
The biggest issue I have with him is that a big part of his tactics involves players initiating 'contact' and then throwing themselves over dramatically. This may not 100% be his doing as Liverpool and Leicester were at it long before (and after in Liverpool's case) he took over but he sure as hell did nothing to stop it at his clubs. For this reason alone I think he's an utter shithouse and wouldn't want him anywhere near our club.

We shall see alfie
See what?

He has already finished higher in the prem which is better than Scottish football, a runner up with Liverpool and his work with Leicester is there for all too see or not see if you close your eyes.

Yes, you are sort of right on the Sterling business, which is why I bolded the Scottish reference part to reply to but again in all fairness it is easy to get caught up the cult-like atmosphere of Clanfield.

I would take him after Pep, somebody mentioned Julian Nagelsmann earlier, either of them would be good here.

I think he’s a good coach with exciting tactics, but at crunch time I think his teams have lacked bottle and don’t know if that’s just a coincidence or whether it comes from him.

Liverpool crumbled at the end of 2013-14 and so did Leicester last season. Be interesting to see how they fair when it matters this season.

His players fucking love a dive n’all. Don’t know if that’s part of his football culture or not. At least there are no fans to “unleash” at the moment.

Let's be honest daniel, most teams have players who fall over like they have been shot probably having witnessed the success that rags and dippers have enjoyed from that approach .

And in Vardy and Maddison have clearly decided that it the way to go.

and remember it was him that turned the pundits and people against raz
I don’t think it was. I might be wrong but I think that came from higher up in the skanky Liverpool corridors.

Sterling has always been positive about Rogers and Rogers said this about Sterling;
“He has incredible talent but this was a boy who looked after his body and his life to ensure that he could give himself every chance to do it. We developed him and he respected that. But his next challenge and ambition was to move on and I’m so happy with how well he has done. He’s mature now. For Raheem it was never about money. If it was about money he could have stayed at Liverpool. It wasn’t about that. It was about being the best he can be. And in that moment in time there was an opportunity to go to Manchester City, where they had top class players. He’s gone in there and developed and become a winner.”

I don’t know if that was a bit of backtracking but I don’t recall the vitriol about Sterling actually coming from Rodgers.

Ex players mainly followed up by dipper media .

He's clearly not a bad manager. He's done well at Swansea, Liverpool, and now Leicester. Celtic as well but let's be honest that doesn't take much skill.

That being said, he reminds me of Mourinho in that despite his success, he comes off as a miserable, unbearable **** that can't stay in one place too long before everyone gets sick of him and he has to move on.

Also, both his Liverpool and Leicester teams have choked at the end of the season. That's worth mentioning.

His face looks like it was smashed with a frying pan and then stretched out like silly putty.

Slightly off topic, but the resident Leicester supporter at work came up to me this morning and said, "What about Leicester City, Hohenzollern? They’re getting better with every game!"

I replied, "There’s another team getting better with every game, but I daren't mention their name."

"Yes, keep it quiet."
