Brendan Rodgers to City (merged)

It's what the rags are hoping for ,they are all banging on about Mancini will be gone and he has failed? 1 (hopefully 2) FA Cups, 1 Title, 1 x Charity Shield all in 3 years. They were looking at sacking baconface at this stage and only Michael Robbins saved his arse scoring that late goal.
We are builing stability and they have shown that is the key, they are terrified of us and they call us bitter.

I can see why they've come out with this by putting 2 & 2 together.

the style of football the owners want played and formation and the formation and style brendan plays but i mean there are 100's of managers they could have picked from just the one who has some buzz or is in the medias immediate sight.

just ridiculous would never happen not this season anyway!

I saw this bullshit this morning and nearly choked.

and as a back up to Rodgers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The Spanish fooking waiter.

But Liverpool have improved under him they really have from 8th to probable 6th is massive honest. They can pass and pass and pass and er bite and of course pass. People say they have improved all the time.

They won the erm............... OK but they have improved and Sturridge is great I'm sure you will all agree, we could buy him back, super.

Yes definite improvement. That Allen guy he can pass but he can't bite so not so good.

Would prefer Ted Rodgers and dusty bin....3-2-1 an all that.

LOL

This must be a joke.

Brendan Rodgers is the shock name in the frame to replace Roberto Mancini as Manchester City manager, writes the Sunday People.

The Liverpool boss has significant behind-the-scenes support at the Etihad despite a hit-and-miss first season at Anfield.

The Blues power-brokers believe the 40-year-old Irishman fulfils all the criteria they deem essential – like a willingness to blood young players early, media skills, and European experience – and the ace in his pack is that he is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Rodgers was City’s first choice a year ago when he was at Swansea and Mancini was on the ropes – before the dramatic turnaround that saw his side crowned Premier League champions.

Now the Irishman is back on City radar, with Mancini not safe even if he wins the FA Cup next month.

Rodgers has two years left on his Liverpool contract so City would have to pay compensation – but that won’t deter them.

Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez is also a live contender for the City post – sources close to the Spaniard say he is desperate for the job.

But it’s the pursuit of Rodgers, just a year into his Liverpool career, that will raise most eyebrows.

I think there is more chance of Shergar becoming are next manager than Ted Rodgers. What a silly pointless story. The mirror is talking less sense than the sport newspaper.
